A man must hunt a mysterious being within the “radiation zone” inside of Fukushima, in order to clean and sterilize the contaminated town, and atone for his wrongdoings that affected his daughter.

Poster
A single father lived a normal life in Fukushima, alongside with his daughter, happily. They we’re just another ordinary family, you can find anywhere in the world. Until the date of March 11th 2011, where the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami strucked the country of Japan, and made the Daiichi Nuclear into a state of critical meltdown. In the span of half an hour, they were forced to evacuate the city, leaving behind their home, their school, and their old happy and comfortable life.
First & Last
Someday, she snapped, and something that was never suppose to happen, had happened. She had killed one of her classmate, on a normal day, out of the blue.

CHaracter Design
The characters are designed from silhouettes, then I drew all of the missing parts, until they became a fully designed character. Takashi, who wants to prove his dad wrong, Elise, who swore to never do any other amateur mistake, Angelo, who faced discrimination as a hafu in Japan all of his life, and Akao, who wants to correct his wrongdoings to Midori.
ENvironments
The environments are designed based on Fukushima, Japan. I had screenshoted the area from google map, and i decided to make a simple 3D map out of it. It's not 100% accurate, as I want to add my own twist on it for design purposes.
Above is the district dissections. Each district is divided by landmarks unique to them. Since D.E.A.F.’s creation, 4 out of 14 districts has been successfully decontaminated, which is district 6, 13, 7, and 14. The rest are currently on progress or special cases such as district 1, 3 and, 12, havent been touched in years.

Creatures
Creatures that exist within the D.E.A.F. Radiation Zone. Some of their designs are based on real life diseases and radiation mutation. I didn't want the creatures design to be too 'fiction', hence why I based a lot of it from real life references. I wanted them to feel more real.
Props
The gadgets used by the characters to fight the enemies or help them navigate the containment zone. The weapons are specifically designed based on their users, and how they fight.
Final Product
Below is the final product in a digital book format. I would like to do so much more about this project, as it is my final year project for my uni. But as all school projects, time is limited, and ones energy is also limited. Even so, I'll still proudly present my effort over the course of 4 months, do enjoy :)
